Field Hockey Camp

Boys and Girls 1st -9th Grade

All levels of experience are welcome! This camp will provide an introduction to Field Hockey for players that are new to the game to build basic skills and game knowledge and for players that are more experienced, to improve their skills as well as learn new ones.  The camp coaches will be from local schools and clubs (some current and former collegiate field hockey players).

Camp Includes:

  • T-shirt or Reversible Pinnie
  • 3 sessions per day
  • Lunch and 2 snacks
  • Swimming Pool and Recess
  • Scrimmages/Games/Prizes

8:30-9:00      Check in
9:00-9:45      Session 1
9:45-10:15    Bathroom Break/Snack
10:15-11:30  Session 2
11:30-12:00  Break
12:00-12:30  Lunch
12:30-2:30    Pool, Outdoor Activity Time
2:30-3:30      Session 3
3:30-4:00      Chapel
4:00-4:30      Pick up

Brianne Monroe

Brianne has been coaching the Southern Middle School Junior High Field Hockey team for the past 5 seasons, starting her 6th season this fall.  She played field hockey for Susquehannock and was involved in the Futures program as a junior and senior.  She attended James Madison University (JMU) where she participated on the club field hockey team.  Brianne, along with a few others in the community, just recently got approval to start the SYC Youth Field Hockey program this fall.  She is excited to introduce field hockey to our youth and build their skills and knowledge of the game as well as to share her love and passion of the game.

  • Field Hockey Stick (size should be about hip height)
  • Mouth Guard (molded)
  • Shin guards
  • Goggles (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Sneakers and/or Cleats
  • Water bottle
  • Modest swim suit
  • Towel
  • Flip Flops
  • Extra set of clothes
  • Sunscreen & Sunglasses
  • Cash for Snack Shack (if open)

This year, we have a limited number of partial scholarships available! These are based on financial need, and cover from 10% to 50% off camp registration costs. Apply for a partial scholarship here. (Must be submitted before completing registration below).
