Don was called to ministry years ago and is doing exactly what he loves to do most. He grew up in Ankeny, Iowa. He and his wife Gin are married and have 9 children between them. He earned his BA in Biblical Studies and Camp Ministries from Clark Summit University. Before stepping into ministry, Don spent 21 years at John Deere and served on the Board of Directors for his home church. He brings a wealth of experience and a strong ability to handle responsibilities, having served as Director of Facilities at two prominent camps in the Northeast. With hands-on experience and a heart for service, Don combines leadership, dedication, and a passion for helping others to make a meaningful impact wherever he serves.
Don has a deep love for the outdoors and a heart for serving others. He has been part of several Wilderness teams that have taken him kayaking and portaging across the pristine waters of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Whether on a trail or by campfire, Don finds joy in connecting with people and experiencing God’s creation firsthand. An early riser by nature, he believes every day is a new opportunity to serve, explore, and grow. His life is grounded in a simple but powerful truth- God matters, and people matter to God.
