Summit Grove’s Day Camp program provides a fun, safe, and spiritually-uplifting environment for kids aged 6-12 in Southern York County PA, northern Maryland, and the surrounding region! Each themed week is focused on outdoor activities that engage a child’s body, mind, and soul — leaving every child with a summer camp experience they won’t forget!
Please note: You’ll find that Week 1 has two different options (Art OR Outdoor Games/Recreation) and Adventure Camp is now two weeks!
Our beloved art teachers, Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Hannah, are back again with an exciting new array of art projects for your camper to experience. This camp will run alongside our Outdoor Games and Recreation Camp for kids that like to stay moving! (See below for details.) Each day will bring an opportunity to try new mediums and techniques. Your camper will complete the week with a special collection of their work and will be inspired to continue creating on their own at home!
We are running an active, outdoor games oriented camp alongside our art camp for kiddos that would like to be more active this week! They can look forward to GAGA, kickball, water games, and other fun activities!
Animal & Nature Camp provides an up close and personal experience with all sorts of flora and fauna. Your camper’s day will be full of exploring and learning about the natural environment. We will visit a local nature center, touch/feel a variety of animals throughout the week, and collect live plant species and other nature items. Afternoons will include time on our huge water pad with water slide and foam machine, or a chance to do some DIY crafts under the upper field pavilion. Our goal is for your camper to finish out their week with a greater knowledge of and appreciation for the vast variety of creatures and plants around them–as well as an increased curiosity to always be looking around and discovering new things!
Summit Grove often collaborates with other organizations (SG Partner-Led Camps) that will have registration forms on their respective websites. Although these camps are hosted at Summit Grove, Summit Grove is not responsible for these camps or their registration process. Please contact the partner-led camps directly for all questions pertaining to their camp.
Our ever popular Adventure Camp is back this year, now as a two part package! Each week will feature new and exciting activities for your camper to gain skills and confidence in the outdoor survival setting, while learning the importance of courage, problem solving, and teamwork. They will earn dog tags for each challenge completed.
The first week will lay the foundation of basic survival skills, such as first aid, fire building, and shelter making, while the second week your child will learn additional new skills, and will have more opportunities to put those skills to the test with individual and team challenges, ruck hikes, outdoor cooking sessions, and awards given to those that have shown mastery in each area!
Attending both weeks of Adventure Camp will be idea, but not required.

This camp is ideal for the camper who likes to try lots of different things, and isn’t perhaps ready for the activity level of the Adventure Camp: Challenge Week that is running at the same time!
