We are moving into “Something New” at Summit Grove! Over the next few years, we will be working systematically to upgrade our buildings and amenities in order to offer a more hospitable, practical, and stress-free experience. Our fundraising campaign launched in 2020 will help us move many of these projects forward. Below is a list of some of the projects we are focusing on each year, plus a few pictures of the projects we have recently completed!
Please specify which project you are giving towards by donating below.
Where is this money going? It’s going into restricted funds for the following projects. Help us reach these fundraising goals, so that we can start each project debt free! You can give a general donation towards “SOMETHING NEW” or you can specify which project you want to donate towards, by writing it in the memo line.
This project is “Phase 1” of our larger water line upgrade and electrical upgrade projects, which are necessary to create the infrastructure we need for future renovations. It will allow our underutilized campground to have clearly defined spaces, proper hookups, and better functionality for our guests. The campground is open to retreat guests, Rail Trail users, and our local community.
Currently our campground has an active leak, downed electrical poles, and no clearly defined spots.

We are raising funds to renovate our 12 motel rooms. These new rooms will cater to Rail Trail users in addition to our regular retreat guests and individual motel room rentals. The goal is to improve the comfort, aesthetics, and functionality of each room, and to make it more visible and accessible to our local community and tourists.
As part of our “Focus on Foundations”, we are raising funds to systematically upgrade our camp water lines. This will save us thousands of dollars in active leakage as well as meet the Boro’s enforced requirements.
In order for people to find us easier on the internet, and better understand who we are and what we have to offer, we feel this is of primary importance!
We have been working steadily at improving the experience in our Tabernacle! In 2020, we:
In 2020, in order to welcome our new Executive Director and his family, we needed to update the housing. The following projects were done to the Director’s House:
Volunteers and friends of Summit Grove spent several months “cleaning house” at Summit Grove. We got rid of the piles of building materials, painted several exteriors of buildings, power washed, cleaned moss off roofs, fixed many small repairs, cleaned A-Frame Cabins, installed new garage doors, painted white trim on many buildings, and much more!
Much time, money, and expertise was invested into creating a beautiful space for people to connect with God in our prayer chapel! The before and after pictures are incredible! We thank the Lord that we now have a cute little chapel
